The Cooperative Invasive Species Management Area (CISMA)
Serving Charlevoix, Antrim, Kalkaska, & Emmet Counties (CAKE)
What is a CISMA?
A cooperative invasive species management area (CISMA) works to improve the diversity and quality of local natural areas through public engagement and education. We also collaborate with local conservation partners to survey, manage, and monitor invasive species.
Our CISMA serves all communities, natural areas, and landowners in the counties of Charlevoix, Antrim, Kalkaska, and Emmet (CAKE). The program is funded by the State of Michigan Invasive Species Grant Program and other external grants.
