Restoration Crew Leader
The CAKE Cooperative Invasive Species Management Area (CISMA) is seeking a full-time Restoration Crew Leader to help protect and restore Northern Michigan's natural resources. This position leads seasonal field technicians while implementing invasive species management, ecological restoration, habitat monitoring, and other grant-funded conservation projects throughout Charlevoix, Antrim, Kalkaska, and Emmet counties.
The Restoration Crew Leader works alongside field crews to manage invasive plants using integrated pest management techniques, including manual, mechanical, chemical, and biological control methods. Responsibilities also include coordinating field logistics, conducting invasive species surveys, collecting GIS and field data, working with landowners and conservation partners, and supporting grant implementation and reporting.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in natural resources, ecology, biology, or a related field who enjoys leading teams, working outdoors, and making a lasting impact on Northern Michigan's forests, wetlands, shorelines, and other natural areas.
Compensation & Benefits

The position is based at the Antrim Conservation District office in Central Lake, Michigan, with fieldwork throughout the CAKE CISMA service area, including occasional travel to Beaver Island.
