About the event
The restoration at the Offield Family Viewlands is well underway but it will be years before this former golf course functions as a cohesive natural area. Come for a hike with LTC’s Conservation Specialist and CAKE CISMA’s Education and Engagement Specialist to tour the ongoing restoration projects. See how we are pulling and spraying invasive plants in certain fairways to support our prairie projects, and how we’ve planted and cared for thousands of tiny trees. Come with questions about managing invasive species on your property to find out how CAKE CISMA can help you! If you have an old field in your yard that you are committed to transforming into habitat for native plants, pollinators, and other wildlife, you will appreciate this hike! Please register in advance and come prepared to hike on and off trails in hilly terrain. We will meet at the kiosk near the white tent at the upper parking lot.
