About the event

Join us to restore and protect critical dune habitats by removing invasive species! Invasive species displace native flora and negatively impact ecosystem function. Together, we can work to improve this beloved local natural area.

This is a joint event with our friends at the Grand Traverse Regional Land Conservancy. Registration is appreciated but not required.

GTRLC will supply gloves, tools, and water. Our teams will teach you everything you need to know about tool use, safety, and invasive species identification and removal. No prior experience is necessary - just come ready to learn something new! Be sure to sign in at registration when you arrive. This activity is moderately strenuous, with volunteers often bending and kneeling to dig out plants.

Please contact Katie Gray (cake.education@gmail.com) for any questions about volunteering with CAKE CISMA.
