About the event

Join the Antrim Conservation District and CAKE CISMA as we work together to restore the Cedar River Natural Area! We’ll be picking up litter, removing invasive plants, and planting native trees to help protect this important riverside habitat. These efforts improve water quality, support native wildlife, and keep the natural area beautiful for everyone to enjoy.

ACD and CAKE CISMA will provide gloves, tools, and training. We'll show you how to safely use the tools and explain why your efforts matter for the health of the ecosystem. No prior experience needed—just bring your enthusiasm and a willingness to get your hands dirty! This is a moderately active event that may involve bending, kneeling, and walking off-trail.

What should I bring?

  • Dress for the weather—layers are always a good idea!

  • Sturdy, closed-toe shoes or boots

  • Long pants and sleeves (there may be poison ivy and ticks)

  • A reusable water bottle and snacks

  • Sunscreen and bug spray for comfort

  • Garden gloves if you prefer to use your own
