About the event
Join CAKE CISMA and the Antrim Conservation District for a hike and learning experience. We'll hike the trails at Cedar River Natural Area and teach you how to survey for Hemlock Woolly Adelgid (HWA).
While we don't have HWA in Northern Michigan yet, this invasive forest pest has been moving its way up the coast of western Michigan. For the health of our forest ecosystems, it's critical to find and treat HWA infestations as soon as they're discovered. The more folks that know how to survey for and identify hemlock woolly adelgid, the more likely our community is to catch infestations early!
Become a citizen scientist, keep our forests healthy for future generations, and enjoy winter with us. We can't wait to see you there!
