The Cooperative Invasive Species Management Area serving Charlevoix, Antrim, Kalkaska, and Emmet Counties in Northern Michigan.
What we're working on:
We're conducting surveys for Hemlock Woolly Adelgid, an invasive insect that attacks eastern hemlock trees. Our surveys are free to landowners in our service area.

Protecting Northern Michigan's natural areas is what we do best
Since 2015, CAKE CISMA has served as a local-level expert on invasive species issues relevant to our region. The cooperative nature of our organization allows us to work with everyone from the government to schools and environmental non-profits.
